Art2264 “Music Wrap”

This month, we are celebrating music (“Art2264 Music Wrap”) with a workshop run by our local star, ’Stavri’, playing and teaching the ever so portable and fun Ukulele – from 5pm to 6pm.

Feel the rhythm and get in the beat with the ‘The Rhythm Hut’ drumming workshop playing Japanese Taiko Drums from 6pm to 7pm.

 

During the art2264 session, find the PC parlour mistress for a quick spray of hair colour and sparkles to add some pizazz to your outfit in time for the BESTEST Blue Light Disco yet!

 

The Blue Light Disco starts at 7pm sharp and costs $10 per person. There are no pass outs, no alcohol or drugs and plenty of police supervision to keep this night super fun and super safe for all. Entry includes a sausage sandwich and water/cordial. Any other food and drinks must be purchased at the kiosk. The PCYC Gaming Van will also be in attendance and DJ Kite will be there spinning the latest tunes to the giant video screen and laser lights.

If you missed last years Blue Light Disco, then be here for the start of this years program, with Blue Lights to be a regular feature at Morisset PCYC every 2 months, in collaboration with the art2264 program.

"Swim Under Stars" Charity Fundraiser

 Saturday 19 January at Morisset Swim Centre

"SWIM UNDER STARS" on Saturday 19 January to experience this months exciting art2264 program at Morisset Swim Centre!!!!

Join us at Morisset Swim Centre from 7pm- 9.30pm to 'Swim Under Stars', escape the heat and learn some exciting news skills you may never have dreamed of!

7.pm- Pool opens and DJ Pip starts the beats! PCYC Van open for business. Rotary Sausage Sizzle
7.15pm- Synchronised Swimming Class- learn from the National Team members the unique moves
8.00pm- Aqua Aerobics Class- join in with the fun and get fit at the same time!
8.30pm- Giant Water Polo Game- join in with the teams and learn the game

7pm- 9.30pm- Enjoy yourself swimming to the beats of DJ Pip, try the PCYC Gaming Vans latest and bestest, enjoy Rotary's Sausgae Sizzle and just swim under the stars with all yourt friends and family! The first 50 people to book and pay get a free pool inflatable to take home!

Be there this Saturday 19 January!!! All proceeds go to Morisset PCYC to help purchase some more sporting equipment and materials for its exciting program and the art2264 monthly events.

Art2264 Christmas Spectular at Morisset Showground

The next art2264 is on Saturday 22 December at Morisset Showground as part of "Southlake Christmas Spectacular" from 5.30- 7.30pm and onwards: all welcome!

Parents and families are most welcome to accompany their children and join in with the activities!

5.30- 7.30pm: Youth Sports Mural with Margrete Erling. Paint up Lillian Webbs latest design!
5.30-6.30pm: Djembe Drumming with the Rhthym Hut. Work your own beats in the heat!
6.30-7.30pm: Fire Twirling (without the fire) with Bec and Tangles. Join the grooviest fire twirlers in town and learn the art of spinning the flames- safely.
 

Please note that while all art2264 activities are free, this month people will need to pay $2 at the gate ($10/ car) to get into the showgrounds from 4pm. At Morisset PCYC events, we normally do ask people to become members of Morisset PCYC, currently a cost of $10 per child each year. 

After art2264 workshops, stick around to watch the Fire Twirling Demo at 8.45pm before the Fireworks at 9pm. See "Southlake Christmas Spectacular" facebook site for more programming info.

Dates and programs may change but Blue Light should run every 2 months from February 2013 complimenting the art2264 program.
