You've got to move it! Move it!

Sedentary lifestyle be gone! On Friday 17th February art2264, Morisset PCYC’s resident art program, will present a dance event for young people. Stand by for free hip hop demonstrations and workshops, as well as your chance to try Irish dancing, thanks to M.A.D dance and Voyage of Irish Dance (the Irish Dance Academy).

“It’s a great opportunity to try new dance styles” enthused art2264 spokesperson Helen Hopcroft. “The workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities, from complete novice to experienced performer, so come along and give it a try!” The event coincides with the beginning of the new term for local dance schools, so it’s a good opportunity to experience the diverse range of dance styles and tuition available.

As well as dance classes art2264 has some great ongoing mural projects, designed by young artist Lillian Webb. We’ll also have delicious snacks from local company Busy Baking: so there really is something for everyone. Parents are more than welcome to accompany their children and enjoy a cuppa, cake and chat.

4pm onwards: art activities with artist Margrete Erling
